The calculators require specific information i.e. the proposed use of the rooms either side of the partition, the partition size and the floor area of each room. The answer value is expressed in terms of weighted sound reduction index Rw which may be used to search construction data such as British Gypsum White Book.

The calculators below are only to be used as a guidance tool; the recommendations they provide are based on either BB93 or HTM 08-01; this does not constitute advice from Azymuth Acoustics and as such no liability is assumed.
